Newtons Third Laws of Physics and bullets
Introduction:
1: Every action movie set in modern times uses a firearm of some sort
2: Bullets seem to be immune to the laws of physics
Body 1: Wanted
1: In the ending scene, the protagonist shoots a bullet out of a sniper rifle
2: The bullet travels through many different objects; car windows, soda cans, windows, and a skull
3: the round fired from the gun is intact the entire time and the round is never affected by the objects it passes through.
Body 2: Naked Gun
1: the protagonist is in a shootout on top of a roof.
2: The enemies are firing at him while he hides behind a trash can
3: the bullets hit the trash can, while doing no physical harm to the trashcan at all.
Body 3: Open Range
1: The protagonist wields a peacemaker pistol in this western movie
2: shoots a man from several yards away
3: the bullet hit a man who then goes flying into the air
Conclusion:
1: Newtons third law of equal and opposite reactions are often overlooked in gunfights
2: Bullets are often a pivotal role in action movies
3: the Physics of bullets are often pushed, while the audience tends not to notice
